DE/SEMBLE is a Vienna-based festival dedicated to expanding and redefining jazz and adventurous music. Renowned for its diverse lineup, the festival brings together both internationally established artists and emerging voices. Its mission is to break away from traditional connotations of jazz, cultivating an inclusive and forward-looking musical landscape.

Marina Herlop (ES)

Classically trained pianist, composer, producer and vocalist Marina Herlop has established herself as one of the most distinctive and innovative voices in contemporary music. Following the release of Pripyat (2022) and Nekkuja (2023), two albums that positioned her among the most acclaimed artists in the international experimental scene, the Barcelona-based artist spent three years touring some of the world's most renowned festivals and stages.

She now returns with Dja Dja (release date 9.10.2026), her boldest work to date. Conceived as a single interconnected piece, the album uses the Hero’s Journey as a structural framework for an intense musical exploration of transformation, inner struggle and self-affirmation, the crossing point of the X, where aggression and delicacy intersect. Throughout its compositions, Marina Herlop expands her sonic universe with new textures, brass arrangements and an intricate musical architecture, while preserving the balance between radical experimentation and emotional accessibility that has become a hallmark of her work.

The new tour marks the live premiere of this body of work through a completely reimagined performance, developed over more than two years of research, composition and production. It opens a new chapter in the career of an artist who continues to challenge the boundaries of contemporary music and cement her place as one of the most compelling creators of her generation.

A trio that turns the moment into material – sound as architecture, taking shape in real time. Under the program title "Ephemere Music – Improvising Architecture," David Six, Mina Naomi, and Max Plattner devote themselves to the art of listening: every decision arises from collective intuition, every gesture carries the potential to transform the space.

NAGEEM's music moves between free improvisation, minimal music, and contemporary jazz. Acoustic sounds meet subtle electronics, while altered resonances from double bass and drums open up new textures, colors, and atmospheres of light. What emerges is not a finished work, but an event – fleeting, alive, unrepeatable.
